How it works – conical/cylindrical sieve mill for efficient deagglomeration
A rotating tool presses the product tangentially against a sieve and breaks up agglomerates gently, similar to a friction granulator or lump breaker, but with less heat generation. Variable speed and sieve geometry allow use as a chopper or for granulating dry and moist mixtures. The result: reproducible particle size distributions, perfect flowability and optimal compressibility for downstream processes. The VaruMill sieve mill is therefore also excellently suited to dosing.

Particle size is controlled via interchangeable sieves with perforations from 0.5 to 20 mm and a variable rotor speed. Depending on product requirements, round, grating or square perforations are used to crush, grate or chop the material as required.

Like all RUBITEC equipment, the VaruMill is manufactured as standard from 1.4404 stainless steel. Higher-alloy materials such as Hastelloy C22 are also available on request, ideal for use in corrosive or particularly demanding environments.
